2015: HOW BENUE PDP CAUCUS SHARED MILLIONS OF NAIRA AHEAD OF PRIMARIES

Benue State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party on Thursday shared over N3m to supporters ahead of the party’s governorship election.
The event took place at the Aminu Isa Kontagora Theater Arts Complex in Makurdi, the state capital. State Governor Gabriel Suswan, after presiding over the caucus meeting of the party at the same venue, gave the party supporters N1m with another N2m, which he said to be given by the Senate President David Mark.
According to him, the Senate President had said he would agree to whatever decision the caucus had taken in respect of the 2015 governorship.
Sources told journalists that the governor, in the past few days, had been in a dilemma on how to resolve the governorship race considering the array of aspirants in the state. Suswan, according to a source, who was part of the caucus meeting, maintained that a sole candidate should emerge in the interest of the party.
The source added that the governor was also not comfortable with some of the aspirants, who might be working with his arch rival, Senator Barnabas
